ADMISSION PROCEDURE
General Information
Admissions to Govt. Polytechnic College are usually conducted in the month of May/June every year. The J&K Board of Technical Education (JKBOTE) announces the application process through their portal: www.jksbotelive.com.
Eligibility Criteria
For First Year Admission
- Minimum qualification: 10th pass
- Minimum marks required: 35%
- Admissions are based on merit, category/reservations, and preference
For Lateral Entry (Direct Second Year)
- 10+2 (Non-Medical) pass, OR
- 2-Year ITI diploma after 10th standard
Admission Process
Step 1: Application
Visit the JKBOTE portal and fill out the online application form
Step 2: Document Submission
Upload required documents and pay the application fee
Step 3: Merit List
Merit lists are published on the portal
Step 4: Seat Allotment
Two rounds of seat allotment based on merit and preferences
Step 5: Admission Confirmation
Report to the college with original documents and complete the admission process
